ACTUAL 2013 PERFORMANCE

Freely Chosen Employment – JMC Products shall employee a completely voluntary workforce.  No forced labor will be used by JMC Products, its subcontractors or vendors.  All employee contracts will be legal under local law.  Workers will be free to leave the company at any time although they are encouraged to provide reasonable notice.  Employees will not be required to hand over any government-issued documents to JMC Products as a condition of employment.  Fees paid by employees shall not be excessive and will be fully disclosed.

Child Labor Avoidance – JMC Products strictly forbids the use of child labor in all of its locations and also by subcontractors and vendors.  Policies are implemented at all JMC Products locations to insure that employees are of legal working age as defined by local law.  Apprenticeship programs, in compliance with all local laws and regulations, are allowed but in such event any workers under the age of 18 shall not perform work that is hazardous to their health or safety.

Working Hours – JMC Products will not exceed the maximum number of hours in a workweek as established by local labor laws.  Workers will not be required to work more than sixty hours per week, including overtime and will be allowed at least one day off per seven-day week.

Wages and Benefits – JMC Products shall comply with all local wage laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours and legally mandated benefits.  Overtime wages will comply with local laws and will be at pay rates greater than regular hourly rates.  The amount of wages paid will be communicated to each employee in a timely manner on a paystub or other appropriate written document.  Payroll deductions will only be made as required by local law or government authority, or under the agreement of the employee and shall never be permitted as a disciplinary measure.

Humane Treatment – JMC Products employment policies and procedures will be clearly stated and communicated to all employees for each location.  Included will be JMC’s policies and procedures for disciplinary action related to poor or improper job performance and for violation of any company policy.  Harsh or inhumane treatment, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, and verbal abuse of workers shall be strictly forbidden, both by management and fellow workers, as shall the threat of any such treatment.  Procedures will be in place at all JMC Products facilities for employees to report violations of the above in a confidential and protected manner and any such incidents shall be immediately investigated in a confidential manner.

Non-Discrimination – JMC Products is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.  All JMC Products locations shall have policies forbidding discrimination based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership or marital status.  Discrimination is forbidden in hiring practices and also ongoing employment practices for promoting, rewards, bonuses, training or other career advancement.   Benefit and medical information is confidential, shall be protected as established by local law and shall not be used for discrimination against an employee in any way.

Freedom of Association – JMC Products encourages open communication by and between employees and management in all regards.  JMC Products shall encourage workers in all locations to communicate with management regarding working conditions, employee safety, and violation of company policies without fear of reprisal, intimidation or harassment.  All such communication will be immediately reviewed and investigated in a confidential manner.  Workers have the right to associate freely, join or not join labor unions, seek representation, or join workers’ councils in accordance with local laws.
