IP55 Series of DC Cooling Fans

AUSTIN, TX – April 2010- JMC Products, a leading supplier of DC
cooling fans and thermal cooling solutions, is pleased to announce
the IP55 Series of DC cooling fans The development of these
ruggedized DC fans has been in direct response to our customer
request for such products.

The IP code is an international standard and classifies the degree
of protection a product offers against the intrusion of foreign objects
and resistance to moisture. The first number in the IPXX rating indicates
the product resistance to foreign particles of various sizes. The second
number in the IPXX rating indicates the products resistance to different
moisture environments.

JMC is pleased to offer an expansion of our product line to include IP55 Series
DC fans from 40mm though 120mm. The IP55 Series means the product has
been certified to operate in environments with dust particles up to 75um
for a minimum of 8 hours. In addition, the IP55 rating means the JMC products
can withstand water sprayed under pressure of 12.5L/min for a minimum
of 3 minutes while maintaining normal fan operation. Testing was performed
by an independent laboratory, that certified that JMC Products meet the
IP55 standard (Click here for Report).

The success of this project was achieved in significant part by the efforts
of factory engineering team. Pictured here are JC Zhang (left),
engineering manager, and Will Chen (right), lead mechanical engineer
on this project, holding the test report documents. Mr. Chen, commenting
