Welcome back to the JMC's Fan Newsletter. In this issue we have great news from our JMC Dong Guan Factory and updates on our ongoing design projects and new products.
High Performance 1U thermal Solutions for 1U Servers and 1U Power supplies The JMC engineering team in Austin Texas has completed its design of a 40x40x28 Fixed-Vane fan that outperforms all similar fans available in the industry. JMC's engineers have broken down existing technological barriers with new "cyclone motor technology" that enables the JMC fans to run up to 25% faster making the worlds highest performance 40x40x28mm fan. The JMC fan produces over twice as much static pressure. The fan is controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM) and is ideally suited for 1U chassis computer server solutions, power supplies, and small electronic enclosures. The new product includes the following features: 1. 20,000 RPM 2. 30 CFM 3. 2.1 Inches in H2O 4. 61 dBA 5. 0.90 Amps RMS at 12 Vdc The fan life expectancy is 45,000 hours L10 at 40C assuming the fan is running at full speed for its entire life. The fan life expectancy will increase if the fan is operated at lower RPM. In-rush current soft start. The fan electronics design includes a limited in-rush current soft start to prevent current over spikes from over powering the system power supply. This feature is especially important when multiple fans are used in a system. This fan model number is certified by UL and TUV as well as being 100% RoHS compliant . These high performance products are targeted for the ever increasing demands of 1U servers and 1U power supplies. JMC Products New Factory Produces it 10,000,000th Fan JMC Products, is pleased to announce that it has recently produced the 10 millionth fan in its new state-of-the-art production facility in Dong Guan, China. This new state of the art facility was a significant strategic capital investment for JMC and was added in order to meet the increasing requirements for high quality electronic cooling products and customer demand. The new factory is located in the Dong Cheng area of Dong Guan in the Guangdong Province of the Peoples Republic of China. Mr. HL Wong, General Manager, JMC DG Manufacturing Center, commenting on the milestone, said, "Our goal was to establish a world class manufacturing facility that would consistently deliver high volume, cost-effective products to satisfy our growing customer demand. The JMC DG team has delivered on every objective established for it and factory ramp up was accomplished flawlessly. IP54 Series of DC Cooling Fans JMC Products, is pleased to announce the IP54 Series of DC cooling fans The development of these ruggedized DC fans has been in direct response to our customer request for such products. The IP code is an international standard and classifies the degree of protection a product offers against the intrusion of foreign objects and resistance to moisture. The first number in the IPXX rating indicates the product resistance to foreign particles of various sizes. The second number in the IPXX rating indicates the products resistance to different potential water environments. JMC is pleased to offer an expansion of our product line to include IP54 Series DC fans from 40mm though 120mm. The IP54 Series means the product has been certified to operate in environments with dust particles less than 75um for a minimum of 8 hours. In addition, the IP54 rating means the JMC products can withstand water sprayed under pressure of 10L/min for 5 minutes while maintaining normal fan operation. This rating assures that the IP54 Series of products built by JMC are well protected and will continue to operate at full capacity even in harsh environments. Click here to see the IP54 Test Reports
