Welcome to the first issue of JMC's Thermal Design News. The purpose of
this newsletter is to update our customers on a monthly basis about the
ongoing projects JMC is working on. We will consistently provide you with
information about the latest thermal products we are designing, as well as
keep you up-to-date about JMC's thermal design capabilities and services
that we can offer your company.

Pentium 4 CPU Cooler - Suitable for Intel's FMB2 and Prestonia Processors
JMC introduces the Phoenix 70, a new CPU cooler designed for the
next-generation IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 processor. The Phoenix 70 is an
active thermal solution incorporating a 70x25mm high-speed fan (5500
RPM) into the cavity of the radial, all-aluminum fin design. The
thermal resistance is measured at an impressive 0.270 °C/W with
TIM using Prestonia thermal test vehicle simulation, and .300°C/W
with TIM for Northwood extrapolated results. Consequently, the Phoenix
70 is an ideal thermal solution for both the Prestonia and Northwood
processors.

high-speed fan will offer the following specs:
- 110 CFM
- 5100 RPM
- 12 VDC, 0.90 Amps @ max speed
- Dual Ball Bearing
- Available with Intellifan technology
- Available with pulse width modulation control

Low Noise, High Frequency Pulse Width Modulation
JMC understands that noise is a significant concern for design engineers.
As a result, our engineering team has developed a new acoustic technology
to eliminate the noise that is output by PWM fans. We have designed and
patented a high frequency PWM fan with a 2-pole motor, where the frequency
is programmed into the fan at such a high level, that the fan is virtually
unheard by the human ear.
